Speakin' of mufflers...
... The '02 Silverado came with one of the HUGEST mufflers I have ever seen. It's like 2.5' long and about 1.75' across. Looks like a small 55 gallon drum.
I was gonna purchase an Edelbrock RPM or a Hooker to take it's place. But... due to being off work right now, couldn't. I got looking in my garage and up in the beams are two Super Turbo's I had forgotten about. Pulled one down and I'll be darned if the pipe size isn't pretty darned close.
I take one up to my FRIENDS at Meineke in Jackson, they cut off the old one NEATLY and install the Super Turbo... for FREE

What a great bunch of guys. Maybe next year I take the other one up and have a dual system put on. VERY easy to do just cut the meeting place of the head pipes add in another 2.75" piece of stainless, add muffler and tail pipe and BINGO, all done.

Oh NO!!!! How far can a man drop in society?? Sounding like a 3rd gen owner... HEY!!! Wait a minute... I used to be a third gen owner!!
I went out and looked under the car cover and Redbird is STILL a fourth gen., WHEW!!
But yeah Mike... when money is tight, you get FRUGEL/inventive!!
OR... as my one friend said..."GETTO"!
