Yo Mike - he doesn't have LS1edit. He's got some other program that is his own creation that does the same thing. But he reflashes the ECM instead of just making a few tweaks. I had him bump the rev limiter, turn on fans earlier, kill CAGS,etc. Ben (99Z28 T56 or some s#@t) had the same thing done to his car as well. Good news is that I can wring my car out to 6800rpm now. Bad news is that both of our cars don't drop back to idle immediately. RPM drops to 1500-2000 range after taking foot off throttle and then takes 3 seconds or so to drop to idle. VERY ANNOYING. Nothing like running up everyone's *** on the road cause your rpm won't drop to idle. Riding the clutch and the running the brakes off the car. So now the SS sits until I can get LS1edit and tune myself. Maybe just get a used hypertech for gear ratio change. LS1edit group purchase???

Mine idles fine now, just like before the battery was diconnected. Just needed to re-learn the idle. It was fine by the time I made it to 131.

Ben - good to hear that the car your car is idling better. That doesn't help me any though How's the new SFC and LCA brackets working. Haven't taco'd yourself around any trees yet? Did you see the post for TT2's cheap?

Mike - Ya I'm still around. Done racing for the year so now I can spend time doing regular car stuff again. Race motor is tired and needs a freshening. I plan on crusing the gut in downtown BC this Sat. Maybe we can get some guys together. So are you swapping the gears from the 94 into the 99 and vice versa?

no gear swapping...the 94 is for sale right now. I bought a vette on ebay yesterday.

Unless you bought an old car I don't know about, don't plan on actually cruising the gut. It's for cars 76 and older I think. But it's still a good time to go down there and setup a chair and watch. There's lots of food vendors, etc. Kinda like a Miniature Woodward

Isn't the PT Cruizer retro enough? I forgot about that 72 and earlier thing. I'm sure their will be plenty of action anyway.

On the street it seems to have alot better traction. I'd go to martin tomarrow if they were open for tnt(stupid IHRA event this weekend). AS long as the car performs at the track as well as it feels on the street, I should be able to cut 1.9 60ft's on my all season radials. I can notice the SFC's, but not as dramatic as so many make them out to be. But then again, I don't have t-tops.

And as for making my car into a taco, I never did that. I only smashed into an idiot that ran a stop in front of me, then a few endo's into a 5' culvert(smashed that pretty good too) landing with the car tore almost in half, part upside down and the carb within arms lenght when buckled into the drivers seat. But no tree taco.

As fot the TT2's it looks like he decieded against selling them. Which is ok cause I still don't have money for wheels.
