Question Saturday after the NATS. Street tire shootout

Right after they kick us out of the track Saturday night the gates will re-open for the Street Tire Shootout.
I'm going to stay and race.

$25 to enter, $15 to buy back in the 1st or 2nd round, and $800 to win
Plus they run Pro, Super Pro, and a 10 second class which are always a blast to watch.

Who else would rather race than party? (drinking hurts my head)

Time trials start at 6 or 6:30 I believe. Basically, we'll have to go out the gates at the end of the CZ28 event, turn right back around and come back in.

I hope not! REAL street tires are my only advantage!

Taner,

I would strongly suggest that you run in the Real Street Class which is a non W tire class with a 10.0 Index. There is also the Super Street, 9.0 Index and the Outlaw, no Index. The STS allows DOT tires in the rear and skinnies are allowed up front and runs on a bracket format.

Check here for the rules: http://www.midmichmotorplex.com/streettire03.html

You guys are incorrigible. Is the car going to hold up to all that racing? And how are you going to get there early Sunday?

And I only live 1.25 hours from the track and have a driver so I can snooze if necessary I'm leaving the car there.
