rear brake woes

I'm attempting to put new rotors and pads on my 95 TA and the rotors bind against the caliper mount when I bolt the wheel on. Has anyone come across this problem? If I put approx 1/8" washers between rotor and axle hub everything fits well. I just bought this rebuilt rear (housing and all) and put my old worn out rotors back on because of shortage of funds. Now that I had money to do everything right I rn into this problem. Is it possible this rear is out of an ls1 car and there is a very minimal difference in rear end width? Any help would be great!

Re: rear brake woes

you gotta have something wrong. Im pretty sure the LS1 calipers are totally diff. and no chance of even trying to bolt up the LT1's. are you sure you got the pads in correctly? and the rattle clips are in properly? Ive seen alot of people put the pads in wrong. I wish I had a picture of the brakes to point out how they should be. perhaps try searching for a how to on LT1 rear brakes.

Re: rear brake woes

I wound up having to grind the backing plates off roughly 1/10 of an inch to get the offset right. I did a search under the brake/suspension forum for caliper shim and got some info there. Thanks for the help though!
