He He, good one!
Those videos are nice. They really captured the backfire of that Chevelle. You have to love 3CCD technology: Hot Rod TV had two pro DV cameras there with 2/3-inch triple CCD technology, plus a couple of Canon GL1 cameras, and an audio tape deck with boom mike. Five people to cover the event. I can't wait to see how they edit it into a TV program!
Hey, didn't that coupe with the turbo'ed blue flame 6 break?
Hey, speaking of the "bang"that was happening when Rpb Schmidtt was shifting, could have something to do with an ignition cutout when he powershifts into the next gear? His shifts are so fast, I have to think he's cutting the ignition without lifting the throttle on the shift. Perhaps it's spilling fuel & nitrous into the red-hot exhaust system and igniting it ?
Oh, and about that '34 wheelstand: Even with him backing off after scraping rubber off the track with his bumper, he still manages a 9.26 @ 155+ MPH. Ballzy! reel ballzy!!

Just found this at Compcams
http://www.compcams.com/Base/Images/...004PGD_001.wmv
This show Lumps Chevelle doing a peddeling 9.55 @ 154+ pass
A good shot of the coupe wheelie pass also where you can see the board lite up a 9.26 I do belive

I'm going to try to rip out a quick video before tonight and post it on ws6transam.org. There's some pretty good footage here.
I'll see if I can get a Taner/Roman/Matt run in there.
(I'm previewing now: oooh! There's that Corvette!) Hubba hubba!
For now, this'll have to do:
240z gets BIG AIR!
