that is very cool that you are under 3400 race weight!!! pull the bumper supports if you already haven't
also door reinforcements, abs and when your battery goes i would recommend a scosche battery, it is a 10# weight savings! not too shabby. every little bit helps.
a diet for the driver would be too hard, lmmfao!!!
trey,
i just installed front aerospace drag brakes, surprisingly they work well on the street! i would love to do the rears but that is an additional $550 i don't want to spend now, maybe over the winter. gotta save something for next year, lol! plus i have to sell my ls1 rear brake setup.

ok, $300 and you pick it up, that is everything you need. e brake cables, caliper brackets, etc..... i had to buy the caliper brackets brand new as well as everything else but those funky brackets were well over 200 canadian alone, and with the diminishing u.s. dollar it was almost 200 u.s. alone
oh well, if you wanna play you gotsta pay.
do you live on the computer, lmao!!! gotta run now and figure how to mount the passenger seat in the car.

Taner, I've now pulled out about 330 lbs. from my Firebird. I'm preparing it for road racing, which is a little different than your useage, but we have a lot in common. That 330 lbs. should be about 365 lbs. once I gut the passenger side door this week like I did the driver's over the weekend. Then it's time for a glass hood, no A/C, no heater, Hawker battery, . . .
Anyone have experience with the VFN line of fiberglass products? I see they make a 2 piece dash, light rear hatch, and a pin on hood (11 lbs.!!!). All that is on my list if I find other people who have good experiences with the company.
I drove the car for a quick bit today on the street and with the 315/35 tires all the way around on it and 1LE sway bars, man oh man, I have new love for this car.

what was that Carbon Fiber hood you were telling me about, the all flat on?

for your stuff. The Firebird hood is 1 lb. lighter.
They're both fiberglass though. CF is too expensive, and how much weight is CF going to save you anyway when you're already down to 11 lbs.?
