no fuel

I just got done with round 2 of the Head swap tripple checked everything..

When I turn the Key forward the security light comes on, and so do the two blinker arrows..

The battery doesnt show charge ( my battery is ran down so Im jumping it off a buddie's car) But with the key turned forward Its not showing anything on the gauges like Battery charge, Gas in the Gas tank..

Well I turned it over and sprayed starter fluid in there it rumbled..

When I turn the key off.. The all the guages peg out then slowly fall back down to 0

If all of the grounds are not hooked up it will NOT run right. Ask me how I know that one.
3 ground wires total I think.

Bob, believe me when I say all the grounds not being hooked up will make it not run. I'm trying to save you some hardship here by letting you use my bad experience. When we did heads on Rod442s formy he thought that he had all of the grounds hooked up. Well it wouldn't start or would start for a second and ran like pure crap. We got out the Helms and did trouble shooting for a whole day and tried everything. Some guys over at LS1tech said that it was probably a ground issue so I got out my mirror and flashlight. Lo and behold one of the ground wires on the drivers side was just laying there it had fallen off of the bolt as Rod had tried to start it. Bolted it up and the car started the first turn over and ran great.

Re: no fuel

I think these guys are def. on the right idea here. as I recall, there are 3 wires, wo on one head, one on the other on the backside of the head. if it has enough juice from the jump to crank, its not a voltage issue, and, if it were a sec. related problem, the sec. light would be BLINKING. indicating that the system in activated. solid light is normal with key on eng. off. do you hav a small dentist mirror? if not go buy one and use a flashlight to see behind the heads. Im goin to look it up when I get to work, but I dont have internet available to me at work to reply here.
if you want, I can fax you a diagram that will show where the grounds go. call my cell if you'd like me to fax you some illustrations or diagrams so you can double check.
