yea jose, dynomax sounds like an import on their website, but when some guy came up to murrays in a LS1 t/a that m/f sounded great, i asked him what kinda exhaust it was he said dynomax and he got it from us. if i hadnt got hooker i prolly woulda got dynomax seeing as how we market it and i can get it on discount .

Devin, you know that exhaust from yor car to mine sounds different, but on amustang it does'nt fulfill my needs as far as tone goes. Do you think that dynomax sounds better than hooker since u heard dynomax in person?

i still havent heard the dynomax on a LT1, LS1s sound completely differnet than LT1s, itll prolly sound good tho, i would stick with the flows since you dont care about performance, i personally think hooker is the best replacent muffler .

for anybodys car!, just imagine having the throatyness of a flowmaster w/o the drone of a flowmaster, the performance of a high dollar system w/o the price of one, when it comes down to it Hooker Aerochamber mufflers/cat-back are the best bang for the buck on the market !

however given the fact that you dont wanna be like me w/ hooker and ricky w/ magnaflow, ide say go w/ mac. they have a nice set of mufflers for your car (you dont need another whole catback), ide give em a try, theyll prolly sound as good as that flowmaster **** and im dam sure theyll out flow em!...this way you get the best of both worlds , but still tho when i pull up next to you uncapped you may have trouble hearing your exhaust/radio/thoughts/passenger , J/K

Smasher94z, that "single in single out" Ravin muffler you got from Midas, how much was it, and what kind of warranty did they give you? Also, I assume it's a 3" inlet and outlet muffler? Is it an aluminized muffler, stainless, or just plain steel? Thanks in advance for answering these questions.

97 6SPEED Z, it is either 2 3/4" in out or 3" Whatever was on the car when I got it, I'm not sure.

I had them cut the flowmaster off and use one of the Magnaflow tip that was on it and just put it all back together. The muffler is aluminized but coated black.

I think it I paid like $170 or something. Too much I think but buddy of a buddy assured me it was a good deal...
I dont remember the warrenty, I'd have to find the reciept.

www.goravin.com

Mine is either a z55 or z77 but it is a big *** muffler. Very deep sound. The z33 would have been way too loud for my taste.

They have a sounds page but my car doesnt sound anything like any of them. If anything it is kinda like the Yukon but with !cat it is way different. More crisp. More like muscle instead of yelling into a sewer pipe.

I'm gonna try to come up with a sound clip this weekend

Joe_88_fiveO,
Why do you say MagnaFlow sucks?
I realize a Mustang will sound different than a Camaro(No lope at all, No grunt, more of a whiny mellow sound, etc...(in my opinion atleast.), but I'd never run anything else on an f-body. My MagnaFlow puts Mustangs, and even some other LT1's(with the exception of the SLP Loudmouth and a few others) to shame. It's quiet with a hint of a grumble at idle, but louder than stock, and really draws attention when you get on it, just the way I like it.

Cam, Like u said magaflow does sound way different from f-body to foxbody. Magaflow sounds like a suited up import. It doesn't fulfill my needs as far as open throttle or at idle. I'll guess I'll just go with a whole mac system b/c I'm throwing this 302 out and putting a 351W in w/ trick heat heads, and trick flow upper and lower intake so a Mac L/T and high flow cats and mac dumps will do just fine
