Milan this year?
Milan this year?
Does anyone know if that Eastern Camaro club or CamaroSS.com is going to rent out Milan like last year? I know Milan isn’t the greatest but it’s still fun to test and tune.
Anyone hear anything?

I dont know about your questions, but expect milan to be alot better this year due to the new concrete starting line (full 1/8 mi. concrete). it should launch alot better then it ever has before. I dont get around to too many tracks, but Ive heard that everyones #1 complaint is traction. so hopefully it will be better from now on.

On a real busy day lane management sucks and everyone rushes to get in line and its hell. My first time there I only got one run in because some guys truck busted on the track and the regular "street class" wasnt up to test and tune yet.
But I am lookin forward to the new 1/8 mile. April 9th is comin quick when Milan opens up and High School Nationals May 3rd.

i have to totally disagree with you guys, i went a few times last year and the traction was great! whether with the drags or the nittos. 1.40 60' on drags and 1.81 60' on very worn nittos.
the only reason the track goes away is due to track management at the burnout box!!!!!! and all of the idiots who run their radials thru the water box! that is where the track management comes into play.

I agree with taner
if you ever get the chance try to get behind a big tire car you'll notice a big difference in 60' times. 1 time i was at detroit dragway and i got behind a big tire car and i was on "defenders" an off brand of bf goodrich anyway lets just say i broke the first gear in a 700-R4 and had to be towed home.
I can see with sticky tires traction is probably fine, but for use guys running on street tires it really sucks, my best 60ft was a 2.4, and I think I was lucky getting one that good. Of course I am not the best driver, so maybe its just me, although I have heard to many people complain about it so I hope its better with the new concrete!
If Bill Bader has any input, Milan will hook well. He has a real fetish with VHT! If not... who knows??!! I think the Milan upgrades are to attract more National Events. National Events = BIG $
