Exclamation M8 will be my first attempt at...

...Running a 10 second time slip. Now last year I ran a
11.61 on a 50 shot at M7. I figure the extra 100 HP i can put in and the cold weather SHOULD be good to bust the mark (and bust my engine and rearend). But I don't care as it will be the last meet of the year and I WANT a 10 second time slip.

Waddayaall think? Should jerk the wheels up pretty good too!!

Just an official notice of a personnel best attempt, FYI.

HInk PLEASE VOTE ABOVE!

I thought it might be the first time that your car completely passed your truck while riding up the back of the trailor instead of just pulling even with it???

That being said you'll be close to a 10.8 with just the right amount of wind to your back.

you forgot a selection hink.

I vote for .....please dont break on the starting line and make everyone else miss out on alot of time we could be racing.

how bout, turn up the juice all the way for the last run of the event? then it wouldnt matter to anyone if you broke and spilled fluid all over the starting line.

so to clarify, Im all for pushing your combo as far as you can, but dont spray more then you think it can take.

ok buddy?

We can run the last run of the night Kev, then we can both try to break them. I am shooting for a rear end ripping run. Wife wont let me fix anything till I break it....sooooo

Arrow EVERYBODY always said...

...You'll break that rearend if you put on them 'Drag Radials'!
... then it went to ET Streets, to Hoosier Slicks and finally to the 4.56 gear in the little 7-5/8" rearend. NOTHING broke until I UPGRADED to a STRONGER Eaton Posi Carrier. 'magine that!

It could finally give up the ghost, but like Nick Norris said... If it hasn't broke by now (7+ years of racing) It probably will never break!!

Thanks for the replys and best of GOOD luck to ALL who choose M8 to SMASH personnel best records!

I figure you should sell that heap, and buy a new Gixxer. Easy 10s there.

Well, it already has the Eaton HD posi, but only a 3.42, and yes I will be ripping of the ET streets that day.

You know if you're trying to break something, it won't break. Just ask Denny. He's been trying to break something on his car for a while now.

If you really want to try & break something, just do what Matt Hancock did at the Nationals, and unscrew all of your nitrous & fuel jets!

Actually, I'm hoping to break also: Into the 13's.

I just got my broken cam out of the engine today, and hope to have the new one in by the end of Monday. I'm cammin' it specifically for M8.

150 hit will get you in the 10's no problem, my guess would be a 10.87 @ 124.87 mph.
