Question Red Wings

So what does everyone think about our team for this year?

I think they should stick with Joseph and play Legace more. Hasek had his chance. Dom. let the team and all the fans down last year when he left early. Besides if we get rid of CUJO and Hasek plans to go into retirement again after this year, we will be looking for another elite goal tender. Besides, we now have 4 out of 6 best defensemen in the NHL and doesn't count Fischer.

I'm a Cujo fan, and i'm sad to see him have to go. I think some of the fans gave him to hard of a time after being swept out of the first round of the playoffs last year to the Ducks.

I think the Wings will be focusing on Defense this year - we are definetly STACKED on D. I'm still waiting to see who we are gonna get to replace Sergei - Ray Whitney will be a nice addition and expect Datsyuk and Zetterberg to really step it up as well.

Without Sergei, it's gonna be REALLY tough to win the cup.

I think cujo was a wast of time and money. Is he a good goalie, yes. Did he have an off year, yes. My point is that we had a great goalie in Legace, he has exprience not as much as others but I think he would be a great full time goalie.
As far as SerGAY good luck with the ducks! I hope they don't even make the play-offs this year. We don't need him, I say with-in 4 years watch out for Datsyuk he is going to be the next Forsberg, same thing with Zetterberg.
We will do just fine this year.

WHAT ABOUT...

... CHASING THE SUPERBOWL??? Thats the sport coming up NEXT!
The FEARED Detroit Lions! Danm would't an 8-8 record look good this year??

By the way... you can't lose a man of Sergei's talent and not pay the price for it SOMEWHERE! Example: Sanders and the Lions!
What a "Screamin' Fall Downhill" right to the BOTTOM!

I say dump both CUJO and Hasek and let Legace step up. He had right around a 2.00 GAA and was considered the leagues number 1 back up goalie. As far as replacing Federov that will be a hard one. We need another scoring center, Larinov is too old, Yzerman is always prone to injury, and Datsyuk is still young and is not a true scorer. I was hopping the Rangers would not resign Kovelov but I think they did for a year. My ideal pickup would be Joe Thorton from Boston seeing they need a goalie there anyways. Thorton is an extremely physical player, a good scorer, and is only 22 or 23 years old. Who knows what will happen, but Holland always seems to make some pretty good moves.
