Talking Just got back from ARE with the motor

Holy crap was that a ride of a lifetime.

Just imagine, a Dodge Ram 2 wheel drive, single wheel peel with my bald summer tires on it already.

My a$$hole puckered a few times on my trip there and back. I witnessed 3 accidents right in front of me and seen at least 40 cars either in the ditch or smashed into the medium.

But it was worth it. Now tomorrow it will be time to finish a couple of loose ends in the engine compartment and then we'll (Taner and myself) will be throwing in the motor.

Then hopefully on Mon/Tues in goes the transmission and maybe even start up the car.

Gentlemen,
May your project today go smoothly.
Roman,
If anything needs "properly clearanced" Taner's the man.
Best of luck. Couple of weeks you'll both be blasting nine's.

Cool

Question for you guys............

How much "ballpark" does ARE charge to build an engine that's gonna put you into the 10's/11's NA like you guys are running?? $5000? $10,000? >$10,000?? Also, I'm assuming they'd dyno the engines for you, or you'd have the cars dyno'd..............so what type of HP are they putting out? While my short-term goals are just reaching low 13's / high 12's, I'd love to be running into the 11's NA one day, and since ARE is just minutes from my work, it's always enticing me to go in and spend some money! (which I don't have enough of yet?! ).

And in regards to your drive? I guess that would be a hell of a long, shyte drive!? Just driving around locally is bad enough, let alone doing a haul from Windsor -> Pickering -> Windsor! Glad you made it OK!

a head and cam package will get you the power you need to get there. but it takes more than a healthy motor to get you there etc.....

Yeah, Taner is handy with the grinders and hammers, that's for sure. So how is your car coming?

HInk, I'm sure that you'll be surprising us this year. You just trying to sandbag and make sure that our guard is down and then WHAMMO.

It takes a few bucks. It depends on how you want to do it. Do you want to do it all the time and have the motor survive or just do a small rebuild after every few runs?

Taner just got his dynoed last week at ARE and they squeeked 436 rwhp and 41? rwtq, with capped exhaust and slicks.

Thanks Tom, nice to hear from you again. Are you planning on going to any events this year? See you at the races.
