I have a client who was running a weblog software on his site called GreyMatter. Well all of a sudden today he couldn't make any additions to his log, and after wrestling with it all day I got this message from the host:

We have just received a notice from our server stating that the script that your customer is using is causing a whole lot of problems on the server he is hosted on. The script, GM.CGI is very server aggressive and requires too much processing power. Everytime this script is run, it makes the server slow
down almost to a complete stop.

I need to have the assurance that either, the script will not be run again, or that the script will be changed to something far less ressources heavy.

Well my client runs a snowmobile place up north, and this could not be a worse time for his log to be down. So I need some suggestions of weblogs pronto!

I'm talking about weblogs, not statistics analysis. You know, blogs. Journals.

Um... sort of. I meant like a journal or diary that the person can update daily. So text, not pictures.

I have a bunch of friends that use either live or deadjournal.com.... seems to be stable and very little downtime.
