Any fabricators willing to help with 9" install on the Z?

Through the help of some other forum enthusiests I've found a great deal on a Ford 9". Unfortunately although I can do the wrenching part I'm not very skilled on the fabrication part and I need to find a way to get it under my 95' Z. Anyone out there looking for a challenge and willing to help me out. I'd have plenty of food and spirits for anyone willing to lend a hand. Hope someone can help.

You can buy a complete moser engineering ford 9" housing with axles for $840 locally, which also has the torque arm bracket installed. No offense, but you are probably going to end up paying somone to make that fit.

Jay, just keep the center section and sell the axles and housing. that should make up your purchase price.

So basically you'll have the 3rd member, gears, spool, etc all for free. no buy the housing section Rod "the *** man" rigues mentioned and you'll have a bolt in setup for just over a grand.

Timber you know of the one I'm talking about don't you? The guy on the Jeepers forums selling it. He lives in my home town so it'd be very easy to get. The price is just too good to pass on.

Yeah I realized that after I posted what I said. I went back and checked and was like oh....duh. It's a great deal, but I don't know anything about those rear ends other than they're good. So I'm kinda lost as to what I need, what will work, and what won't work.

I have a stock length Moser 9" in my car.

Not sure what you are looking at but you would I guess need to weld on coil spring perches, shock mounting tabs, a torque arm mount and perhaps shorten the overall housing.

I would get a Moser housing if it's more cost effective.

If that housing has 31 spline stuff I might be interested I am about to pull out my 4.11 gear/ 31 spline locker and I'm also open to just buying an entire third member.

Yeah I'm not sure exactly what all I'd need yet. It's sounding like it's gonna be quite a pain in the ****. I'm still trying to figure it out, thanks for the input.
