hooker LT question

hooker LT question

any tips on getting the passenger side manifold off? a 94 lt1 car?

starter and Ypipe are off what next?
I got the front two bolts the other f*@#s wont budge when I finally do get a swivel on them...

Do I need to disconnect the stering linkage for the driver side header? do both go in from the bottem? DO i need to lift the side of the engine... Cam Is about in headers a pain in the ***

Drop the starter, that is a MUST. Make sure you have the alternator off, that def helps. It's a pain to get them off, I've done it 3 times and I hate it. One thing that would make it significantly easier is to raise the motor a few inches. Loosen the crossbolts on the motor mounts, and you can jack on the balancer, put a towel under it though. raise it up a tad, and slide the bolts out. Lift it another 2 or 3 inches and you will have plenty of room. This is also a great trick when it comes time to put the headers on. You will have to lift your car to the moon though, LT's on an LT1 without a lift sucks
