I have started getting the car ready. I have one month to get it into the low to mid 11.0 to 11.5. I will only get one shot at it because I have no cage. So we will see.

I have never heard of the Ledfords kicking anybody out for running too fast at an M event.

Since Debler runs the show, he will let you know when you need to slow down. At M5 there was a blown 4th gen running low 11's and he was asked to slow it down since he had no cage. He was allowed to make ***** to the wall 1/8th mile passes though!

Gotta keep it safe fellas!!! It would suck if the event got banned or some ****.

I found a cage but don't think I can use it. I need one with the kick out so my big a$$ can get in and out of the car. It would be funny if I installed it and my back went out at the track. Well I guess I would just have to let everyone else drive it.
RedIroc yes that quick change would really freak your friend out.
I might bring both cars if my friend can come with. Maybe Duke(Joe) might want to drive the WS6 up if my friend doesn't go. I don't think Joe would, being a 3rd gen guy.
I am hoping to find a NX or NOS dry kit this week. I am going to have to find some more polishing jobs so the wife doesn't get to upset about the money. I think I will be working on the car a couple of hours a day until M7. Not that I don't have more time. That is about how long I can stand up in a day.
Can't wait for the M7 fun to start. I don't think Jason knows how much we look forward to this each year. But then again.....

Unfortunately it'll be the 1st & only event of the year that I'll be able to make. I went to opening day but got snowed out.

I did make Milan Mania, MM2, and M5 though---

This really is a fun event. I remember the early days in Milan. The temperatures were scorching hot, the track personnel were not friendly (unlike at MMM), and the turnout was a lot smaller. I managed to make it to all the M events except M5. I am hoping to make it to M7 this year. Really does depend on a lot of things though. Darren.

 

I'd drive it Chris! Heck I'd drive anyhting at this point!

I wish my car could be ready in time, but hell, look at it. Engine is still sittin on the stand, trans is still apart, rear end is still dropped, fuel tank needs to get sumped (btw if anyone can do this for me I'd pay them good!!), still need to reorder the cross member, still need to order a-arms, still need a fuel system, still need an electrical system, **** I've got so much to do I'd be lucky to drive it next spring!

But if anyone wants to volunteer some time this winter to help put it back together I'd appreicate it, and I have a heated garage so we won't be freezing to death.

Anyway I'm still hyped up about M7, M8 will be more fun with the RS.

I am going to start the treatments after M7 so I will be laid up for at least the winter. That will last 6 months to a year. But when I get done with them I will give you a hand.
