Hey! Let's start talking about M7! Official details inside!
How about we set up an autocross course as part of M7 then you guys drag race me. I will lose badly (could run...13.6?) Then I will race you on a autocross course. If I beat others by more seconds in the autocross than I lost by in the drag race I win......but what?
BTW there is an autocross this weekend at WMU in K zoo.

I'll take the cool weather... But the wind at recent M events really sucked.
Just got an additional event sponsor for this year!
Once again, TByrne Motorsports is helping us out with the event. So...
Jack, first of all, let me apologize for pointing you out when I was giving away the gift certificates from TByrne last year. I thought it might have been subtle and humourous at the time, but the more I thought about it, the more it might not have been completely apporpriate. Sorry about thatif it made you feel uncomfortable or on the sport.
Second, part of what Tom supports the event with will probably make it into the cash prizes to give to the winners. Look at it this way...if you race well, you might get something back from Tom! Not being a wise-*** this time, it's true!

Acutally...
From the site:
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">
Q: What does M7 mean? What is the history of this event?
A: It started with the first Michigan F-body event put on in Milan, Michigan by a couple of Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts named Paula Bousley and Steve Hauswirth. The event was called "Milan Mania" and even though only 25 cars showed up, it was a great success. The next year, Steve could not help organize another event due to a new family on the way, so Jason Debler stepped in to help Paula organize the second event. This time, the event was called Milan Mania II and it was a little bit bigger than the first. The next year, Paula was not in the position to help organize the third event, so it was up to Jason to see what he could put together. He decided to move the event to a larger facility, the Mid Michigan Motorplex. Instead of calling it "Mid Michigan Mania", Jason shortened the name to the first three letters simply calling the event "M3" to also go along with the 3rd annual event. Jason has been organizing the event ever since. As the following year's events took place, the M events began getting larger and gaining a reputation for being one of the best and most fun GM racing events of the year for the Michigan area. M7 should be no exception and we certainly hope to see you there!

The M events definatly kick ***. This is going to be my second one actually, I didn't quite make it all the way to M5, but M6 was a blast and I'm sure M7 is gonna be even more fun. I wish I had the funds and time to have my car race ready for the event, but it's gonna have to wait till M8.
Anyway for anyone who hasn't been to a M event yet, I guarantee you'll have fun.
Joe

Everyone pray to the wind Gods for a tail wind this year. The last two years we had a strong head wind. That should be good for a .10 or 2.
