help me identify a newer cobra on telegraph..

I went thru a few gears with what i thought was a 99+ GT...

Car was black with GT Taillights.. well upon further inspection the car had cobras on ttthe side and the rear cobra bumper. Independant rear with some strange looking exhaust.

He was driving with his fog lights off... im assuming to get people to think its a GT?

Anyways, it was way too close of a race for me i was just starting to inch on him (my fault for shifting like a grandma into 3rd)

i asked hi what he had done, he said just exhaust.... I wasnt able to ask him anything else... i wanted to see what his fog lights looked like but never got the chance.. and i couldnt get a good look at the spoiler.

He seemed way to surprised about my car, and i could hear him say to his friend "**** that thing is fast"

So does anyone know this car?
Whats year is it and whats done to it?

Or is my car just slow as ****?

dont know.. didnt pay enuff attention.. we wernt in the best spot as far as lighting goes.. i couldnt even see the spoiler, to see if it was up level 01 style or tthe 03 cobra style..

i think it said svt in letters like.. not like like the badging style where it was on a rectangle.. it looked like it was spelled out like the 96-98 cobra.. only bigger and towards the bottom of the tail light just to the right....

know what i mean?

and his exhaust was really weird looking.. like i could see the tubing, but not the tips?

he was definetely not very old.. im 22 and he had to be about my age, or not much older.. had dark hair..

FSTANG is the previous body style (96-98)... from Garden City. If it said Cobra on the bumper it wasn't a '99 Cobra unless they switched the bumper. The '03 comes from the factory with GT taillights. So it was either a 99+ GT with badges and bumper or an '03. To put GT taillights on a '99 or '01 Cobra would require rewiring everything since they don't use the amber light in the signal. The car doesn't sound familiar. I'll have to keep my eyes open.

Well the general feeling im getting here is that it was an 03.. i thought he just had a cold air kit based on the sound. she was definetely running stock boost then. but the exhaust was weird as hell.. but sounded awesome

Sounds like an 03 Cobra.

On a side note...have you visited the kills forum PhantomTA? I mean you are hardly going to get in trouble here for talking about a street race you had. You probably wont even be thought bad of for that matter.
Just saying...
