Unhappy Good shops for clutch install?

I have a 98 1LE Z28 and I believe the clutch is on its way out. It slips a little when I hit the 1-2 shift hard. I am hoping to get a new clutch installed soon but I have never done it and the garage is not heated... so I am looking for suggestions on shops in the Grand Rapids area that would do quality work installing my clutch. Ball park price extimates would be nice too!

Also I am leaning towards the Star Spec II clutch. I am hoping to have about 400RWHP when I am done with the car yet I want to retain the stock feel. Do I have to upgrade the hydralics on my car or will they be OK if I just install a new clutch.

Thanlks for all the help

How about Plainwell? Dave Hedges is the only guy (with a shop) I can think of who I would trust to put a clutch in my car. I can get you his number if you want.

Pete,

I would be interested in Dave's number as I have a street twin along with the hydraulics to go in next spring. I was thinking of DTS in Wayland.

OK, I couldn't find the number for Dave's shop, but if you call (616) 685-9519 and tell them you're calling for Dave Hedges, they'll either transfer you to him or give you his number. (The number I gave is for E & D Auto, which is the parts store right in front of Dave's place.)
