Good Head work? :^)
I have a set of heads I picked up from a guy at work. I haven't paid for them yet because I want to check them out first.
Anyway they are the 3947041 castings. They have 2.02/1.60 valves, screw in studs, they ARE fully assembled and they have been ported massively on the intake side, there is nothing left to grind out of those ports . He wants $75 per head. He's a good reputeible guy who I BS with all the time about car stuff so he knows he couldn't Bull**** me even if he wanted to. I know too much .
If they check out ok, would you guys buy them for this price? I really want to go with an aluminum head because I am running nearly 10.3:1 CR on my current Iron heads and I have enough spark knock to make me nervous. But this is such a good deal. Could I sell them and make money off them at this price?

You should honestly find out what size the combustion chamber is...your TPI heads are 64 CC and you might have problems with your exsisting 10.3:1 compression. If the chambers are big assed 72 CC versions you'll lose a ton of compession. Imagine if they are 58CC....hahaha

Denny, I found that they are the 64cc version heads. They have been planed so I assume they are flat. But that takes that 64cc down just a hair.
So, whaddya guys think? I wanna see what their flow numbers are.
