quick question..

what do i do after i get one ripped? currently they are too large at over 7 gb. dvd shrink isn't giving me much options either as i don't want to cut up the dvd. i do have a dual layer burner but i'm trying to use 4.7 gb dvd's. should i go get larger ones?

Sweet, host that baby up, you can never have too many DVD programs.

Jeff, i thought that the DVD shrink is what you need to compress it down to fit on the 4.7 disc? I haven't had to shrink one yet, but i thought it would just shrinkit and voila! That's a bummer.

shrink...? if it does someone please let me know how as i must be missing the boat on this one.

shrink will allow me to reauthor the dvd however which will condense it some but i can't seem to get an option to pop up that will cut the size in half? i've tried looking this up but spending so many hours to figure out how to burn the dvd's has burnt me out alone.

the last few ones i have ripped to my hd are just over 8 gb. i don't mind loosing a bit of quality if i can fit them on my cheap 4.7 gb dvd r's.

ya when i use clone dvd 2 it makes it fit onto a reg 4.7 and lets you remove sub titles etc... to get improved quality
