Gear change programming needed

Is there anyone in Michigan that could flash my PCM for 4.10 gears so I don't have to shell out $200 just to have it done? I don't really need a tune yet as my car is so close to stock, so any help would be appreciated. You'd at least get a case of beer out of the deal! Thanks!

I think you will find that lots of people have the ability to personally flash the 94 and 95 OBD-1 cars themselves but very FEW can flash the OBD-2 (96 up) vehicles due to the software costing MUCH more.

as of right now, you are probably correct, but since OBD2 tunercat is out now, you will see more people with it(even though it is $300 + $79 definition file)

guess I should have bought it then, just looked, the price is $499, can do 2 vehicles from a list, others are $150 each

figures, they get it done, sell it for a few months, then sell the whole thing to Jet

That price is a rip-off.
No wonder so many unscrupulous people use bootlegs

Sean @ collins automotive said he'd program a speedo change for me for $75. I can live with that price. Time to go get some gears!

I personally don't know of any OBD-II bootlegs/pirate copies of TunerCAT running around, but have heard of those that do.

Re: Gear change programming needed

I have a 95 t/a that has been tuned by madz28 and I have since added 4:10 gears. Can anyone flash mine without affecting the current tune? Sorry for asking this in your thread, i just thought it might be relative to your question.
