Smile F/S Keyless entry remotes.

I have 3 keyless entry remotes I don't need. They are part #16245100-29.. That is the top # on the rear of the remotes. If anyone needs one they are $30.00 each. They are about $60.00 to $90.00 each at the dealership. If I remember correctly they have to be programed at the dealership to the car or truck. They have to use a scanner to program them. I sold my truck and no longer need them. They do work on the cars with matching remote #'s.

FYI, only the brand new ones need to be programed w/a tech II. I think its like 2000 and newer depending on model. if anyones interested, I can find out what is required to program it for ya. just tell me what kind/year of car and I'll find out. usualy its as simple as jumping two conn.s in the diag. port, or removing a fuse and hitting the door lock buttons in some specific fasion to make the bcm go into program mode. Ive done plenty of these at work so I can figure out what needs to be done.

I know that this is a really long shot, but is there any way that you could hook up those remotes to work with a thirdgen?

I don't beleive they will work on a 3rd gen. They have to match the # of your old remote. There are several different # on the different remotes.

I would call a dealership parts dept and see ask them what one cost and get the part #. They should be able to look it up. There are several different ones so I don't know if it will work without the #
