Bad day at Milan

First off, I only got 2 runs in because they had roughly 4000 jr dragsters (can't they go race on some jr track somewhere else I mean come on now). It took me 2 hours to get there because of ungodly traffic but I was still there around 6:30.

Best run was as follows:
60ft 1.914 (spinning even while launching light)
1/8 et 7.996
1/8 mph 88.26
1/4 et 12.421
1/4 mph 112.51

I forgot I had moved my 2-3 shift point down to 5700-5800 to test my old tranny, so I was shifting into 3rd way too early which prolly hurt the mph and et some. Also, I was on crappy nitto dr's with crappy track prep so that didn't work out so well. I think with et streets and a 6100 rpm shift into 3rd I will be able to hit 11's consistently as long as I can hook decent (1.8's or better).

Oh well...next time

I feel for ya man, I've only been there twice and both times traffic made me late, then cars broke down each time stopping everybody for hours at a time, or someone blew oil over the track and to top it off both times were just completely filled with cars and those damn Jr Dragsters. It really sucks to make a 12 second run then wait an hour or two to do another 12 second run. On top of all that I have never heard anyone say "wow they sure prep the track well" I wish there were closer tracks, maybe the longer drive to another one would be better

I don't bother with Milan except on private rental nights.

Arrow Sorry Sean...

Milan is a tough track to race unless it is SUNDAY! Then they prep it VERY well and there aren't so many street tired cars tearing off the rubber and glue on the line.

I am in the low to mid 1.5Xs at Milan on Sunday. Steve Quinn drags his bumper there on a Sunday!

Good luck next time and stay away from TnT days and Street Tire days. Stanton is the BEST overall prepped track for most all conditions. Usually if they have a lane give it up, it will be just one side, usually not both.
