2 days and only 2 problems with the Rag

I have gotten to drive her for two days now, and all I can say is WOW This is the fastest car I have ever driven. Flat out flies. Only two problems so far, I need a heat shield for the fuel lines on the drivers side, and the shifter needs to be adjusted. Sometimes third gear dosent want to engage because the shifter isnt pulling it far enough. But for all WE did this winter, it is going quite well. I do have to get use to the power....at 30 mph a flat foot produces goobs of smoke. I also have to get use to the looks. Pulled into my office today and three guys walk up and beg to see the motor. So of course I produce the goods Guys heard me pull in and knew it wasnt your ordaniary Camaro Now I have to pray for no rain this Friday so I can get to Stanton and get some time slips. Thanks to ALL of you guys that have helped with input, greasy hands, and late nights getting her done this winter. I owe you all more then words can express. You all get a ride One more thing...I would like to quote one of our moderators......."HI CHAD"

Glad everything is working good. You need to get some timeslips, so I will know if I need to finish the NX install or not.

I drilled out some of the tiny import jets that came with the kit to get me the full selection of 50,75,100,&150

I started installing the bottle mount I got from Skip tonight, but have to do quite a bit of modifications to get it to fit right.

Thumbs up

Glad you are happy. That is what it is all about. Now in a month I bet we hear you saying you need more power. Every time I have built a car it seems fast for a few weeks then it seem stock again. As the old saying goes they are never done.

COOL....that thing should flat out fly on the juice. I cant wait to get them to the track. I will be fun, win or lose Hopefully I can get some slips on Friday at Midnight Madness, pending the weather.

I wonder why the bracket wont fit??? The quarter area should be the same demensions as a camaro. weird. But at the same time, I modified my laptop stand to fit my preferences also.

I don't know, but the whole thing was too wide and the mounting tabs just had too much extra material on them for how I want to mount it. I'll snap some pics when I get it all done.

Hello

Chad, Sorry that it doesn't fit! I thought I made them pretty much so that they fit all 4th gens. I purposely left extra meat on the thing because of the weight of a full bottle!! Please let me know what all you have to do to make it fit so I can adjust accordingly. As always there is a money back guarantee if your not completely satisfied though too.

Well Skip, the plate itself was too wide to mount in my car how you had it in the picture you sent me. I am going to mount the right side tabs on the back of what I believe is the power antenna mount instead on of on the front side. It's not too bad, just need some customizing on the two right side brackets to match the shape of the mount.

Your wheel well opening must be narrower than mine Maybe I could have narrowed up the plate some? About how much?Could you snap a pic of your opening and give me a reference dimension for future mounts?

I bet part of the problem is the Firebirds have power antennas and the Camaros dont.

Actually mine doesn't have a power antenna. That was about the only option I didn't get on the car. I don't remember if Skips did or not.
