Talking 13.5@101.14, 1.91 60' @ Milan

well the skating rink was hooking great early in the afternoon, as soon as the tonnes of street cars came yes the track did start to go away as to be expected!

anywho, the best part of that run was walking a a 98 cobra, by almost one full second, lmmfao!!!!!! and he actually cut a 2.0 60'.

tooo bad for him, should've bought a z.

Taner what kind of tires were you running on the 94? Congrats on the new best!
Must seem slow compared to the other beast!

I also was at Milan last Wednesday (9/25), got there at 4:10PM (just after the gates opened at 4), and stayed till closing (after around 10:45PM???). Got a grand total of THREE(3) runs in Was looking for my first 12 second timeslip and went 13.033 on my first pass with a 2.177 short time, (when the track was decent, not great, but just decent). After my first pass the track seemed to go away BIG TIME. My next pass, 14.291 with a 2.596 60 footer while doing my best John Force burnout impression all the way thru 1st gear and 1/2 of 2nd Backed way off on the launch for the third run and did manage to ONLY slip slide my way to a 13.552 pass Is it usually this bad at Milan on Wednesday nights ???

sometimes good sometimes bad.

at 4- 5pm, i found it to be good, a 1.91 60' on a car with completely original suspension i think is pretty good. you are correct though it did go away later, problem is too many street cars.
they are making an effort to prep the track.

Taner, I agree A 1.91 60 footer on a stock suspension car at Milan is great! I have yet to run any sub 2.1 sec. short times with my set up What SIZE Nitto's were you running, the 275/40/17's or the 315/35/17's ??? I have the 315's, run them at 19 - 20 psi, and do a burnout until I see smoke in the rear view mirror. I try to launch my 6 speed somewhere in the 2500 to 3000 RPM range, (depending on what the track will allow), and like I said earlier, have yet to get a 60 footer anywhere NEAR 1.91 Any tips you may have would be GREATLY appreciated

Oh yeah, one more thing I forgot to ask you; How many runs did you get in last Wednesday??? It's kind of hard to "figure out the track" when you get three(3) passes spaced out over 6+ hours

Thumbs up Sniff...

I miss my old car...

Glad to hear it is doing well. I take it you already got headers for it? I am still nowhere near done with what I have to do, seems I keep getting sidetracked...

car is doing quite well, thank you!

no headers yet, so let me know when you are ready ;0)

car is just as you sold it to me (sorta), i installed the cai. that is it, i ended up selling the stall so i could fix the trans, it hurt to sell it but it paid for the parts and labour to fix the trans, kevin and i did the removal and install. i went with a new convertor, a corvette 2000 stall. nothing to crazy, the wife drives this daily.
are you going to m7? hopefully we'll see you there.

Okay, so here's the question, is the track open at 3PM JUST for 'friends" of the owner on Wednesday's, or if I show up at 3 do I get to make some runs too???

anyone

test and tune is at 3, the track opens to all not just "friends" at 3...sorry i thought my post was clear on that. If you get there at 3, it is open...but it is the end of the season pretty quickly here...it usually closes in a week but he will keep it open for a couple weeks weather forgiving.

Unhappy I'm not going to make it...

which is too bad because I really wanted to go this year. There is just no way I can get the car done in time With a little luck I can have the headers off this weekend, I have a stripped bolt in the head. I found out the hard way stage 8 bolts are not meant to be taken off once put on.

I'll let you know when I get them off.
