1/8mile MPH

I was wondering what some of your 1/8mile trap speeds are. Mine are high 92's but I can't get the car to hook except leaving at like 1400rpm. I now have nitto's and et streets. I know when you spin your MPH is a little higher so will my MPH go up or down when I launch at like 3000-4000 with the ET streets? My 1/8 et's are only like 8.4's with a 2.0 60ft

How hard are you guys launching and what are your 60's. I am just trying to figure out how I can run high 92's and only run 8.4's in the 1/8. I ran 90's at stanton but my clutch wouldn't hold when the car acually hooked up.

On a 4500-5000 rpm clutch drop on E/T Streets, I get:

1.8x 60 ft
7.9x-8.0x 1/8 mile E/T
90.xx mph 1/8 mile trap speed

Those numbers are on a slipping stock clutch.

Just out of curiosity, who built it and how much did it cost?

Darryl Schimmleman works on the side out of his house but he worked For Gordens Tranmission in pontiac for years and now is up at Lapper Trans and gear as shop manger and master tech.
Hes good. He's done builds like mine with your good 4l60e core for under $1500 without converter.
All the bells and wistles pretty much a upper level FLP type of build with all the same parts!
Remember tho this would be a "side job" and not thru that shop.
Once he builds it he takes very good care of the "freshen ups" required as basic mantance due to 600+ hp on the clutches and steels.

Around what 1/4 times would a 92 in the 1/8 be. I think I can run an 11.9 if I get my 60 down.My times suck because I have been launching really soft and I can't go to WOT until a little ways out.I have been told my mph will go down but I think it may go up with being able to actually launch hard. I have heard most people launch above 4000 on ET streets.

Dam, I ran an 8.22 in the 1/8 at M8 with my Impala SS at about 4500 lbs. I'll have to dig the slip up to see what the mph was.

My mph was 84.15 on that run. I did have a full 1/4 pass after eliminations and ran a 1.87 60' 8.14 1/8 @ 85.32 and 12.83 1/4 @ 106.74.
The F body I was racing ran a 8.18 1/8 @ 87.6 and 12.64 @ 109.53 with a 1.94 60'.
In my 95 purple TA vert, I would run 11.90s @ 115 on the bottle with a 1.67 to 1.72 60'. I think the 1/8 mph was 90-92, so with a better 60', you should be in the high 11s.
