Cool YEAH BABY!!!!!

Well, Atco was FUN tonight. Saw a truck wreck on the track, several cars spew oil everywhere, and a ricer **** fluid all over the staging point. Oh yeah, some good racing too. I pulled new personal bests, times in sig. Funny thing is that the last run is when I pulled the 1.923 sixty foot time, and I actually bogged it some when I let off the clutch all the way. I know there's a 1.8xx sixty foot in the car. And I am now POSITIVE that a 12 second pass resided in the late fall weather. I'm in a good mood! Anyone else show out there tonight that I did'nt run across?

I'm getting there. I am sure the car's got a 12 in it before I put a top end package on it. Problem is, I don't know if I can wait long enough for the weather to cool all the way down. Hmmmm, maybe I'll just pass 12's all together, and go 11's!

i was there last night too. i was helping my friend with his 71 GTO (white with a big roots blower sitting on a pontiac 400 ) we got it to run a pair of 12.4's at 107.7mph. there is mor ein it, but we are both new at working with a supercharger, so it is gonna take a while.
the track wasn't too bad. there was a first gen camaro that ran a mid 7. looked like a 10.5 inch tire car, back halved.
glad to hear you got some good times, gotta mess with the suspension a little and you are in.

Dude, that GTO was BEEYOUTIFUL!!!!!!! That's an awesome car, and it just sounds and looks good.

As for my suspension, I'm going to keep it stock and see how far I can go, then totally redo everything.

i almost hate to say it but you gottta see what marcus has ploanned for his GTO next. he just picked up a 455 block and once the short block is built he is going to be ordering a BDS 8-71 blower to run 10-12psi. the 400 that is in the car now has a 6v-71 blower only putting out about 5psi. the new motor will also have a much improved suspension under it. all that car has is drag shocks all around and drag tires.
he plans to go ludicrous speed i think(he's gone plaid!!!! )

CONGRATS fastbird!!!!

I was almost going to go with my buddy to ATCO in his 02 GT stang but decided not to. He would of run low 14's with this cooler weather.

Your car is moving dude.

I am still waiting to get my rear axle redone! Waiting sucks but $$$$ don't fall off the trees here in my neighborhood (unfortunately).

this is gonna kill you after seeing that car run. we just changed teh plugs and wires in teh GTO(a real PITA to fish wires around that blower) and we found out that #7 was firing on a half corroed to death terminal on the cap, the coil terminal had green hair in it, and most of the plugs were crusty and beat.
this week we are gonna do some suspension work to see if we can make it stick out of the hole better and iron out some little things before he takes it back to the track.
the long and short of it is that next time out it will run an 11 prolly
