Dave, what about running the '93Z. Not the rush of running 10's but your be on the track. I've been running my slow backup car since July.

Re: Slp Day!!!

Thanks Bob!

Kaz, I thought of that but that pile of junk needs some major work plus it's my daily driver right now and my luck I'll hurt something and be shoe leathern' to work and back One of these days I gotta get another car so I can race this thing when the good cars down.

BTW what's going on with your other car?

It went "POP". "POP" on the top end = bad. Rebuilding the bottom end this time with 4-bolt spayed main caps, Crower light weight crank, and Crower stroker billet rods. Either a .040 over with a 3.75 stroker crank (384 cubes), or 3.80 stroker crank (389 cubes). Hope to loose some of the 3600lbs. for next season. I should be able to drop 200lbs. and go high 10's. I'll be back next season bracket racing again under the Rapid MotorSports flag.

Re: Slp Day!!!

Wow, I didn't know it came apart. Sorry to hear that although it sounds like you're psyched for the new combo. Crower makes some real good stuff. Let me know when you get it back I'd like to check it out since we live so close if that's cool.

We're ripping ours apart as well. Getting rid of the Callies rods and SRP's for Oliver billets and Custom Diamond sb2 pistons set up for nitrous. It'll end up being a 398ci motor. Petty enterprises SB2.2 heads, SB2.2 intake converted for EFI with 72lb injectors and a 1250 cfm tb. Cam Motion solid roller and an NX SX2 dual stage kit. It should go mid 10's on the motor and mid 9's on the unit. Sticking with the 6sp since dad likes to road race a little.

Re: Slp Day!!!

Yeah that's me. Cool pics. I think I do remember you (the 7ft tall description helped). Thanks for the compliments. Are those pics the full versions and if not could I get you to email the high res ones? That launch pic makes me wonder if the front wheels are off the ground at all. My buddy brought his digital but the batteries were dead doh! I was impressed at how clean and well detailed alot of the cars were. I would like the opportunity to meet you guys at the next E-town gathering and talk. I wish I would have walked around more.

Re: Slp Day!!!

Hey N20Dave,
I came up to look at you car when you were cleaning up to Leave and asked what kind of hood that was. That car is sick!! I came down with Bob's01slpss from Ohio. It was a long drive and being in a passenger seat the whole time, even sleeping in ramada inn's parking lot in it, killed me but was worth it.
Oh yeah, I thought Ohio roads sucked, I feel better about out roads after coming to NJ, Too many pot holes and bump, and what the hell is with all the jug handle turns, that really messes with out of towners, LOL.
