Roll call for Cops~n~Rodders
Re: Roll call for Cops~n~Rodders
Hopefuuly the forecast will get better. Right now it's a 30% chance of rain, but I'm trailering the car 150+ miles Saturday to get it there! I HATE TOWING IN THE RAIN!
I won't be able to make the May 1 date if we get rained out. I'm already committed to something else that weekend

I'd like to get to DEI for D.E. Day one of these years...right now I'm pissed that they didn't have their car show this year!

How will we know if it's cancelled due to rain?
I'm preregistered & I'm coming from MA, about 255 miles via mapquest.
I'd hate to not go & find it was scheduled, & I'd hate to travel all that way to find that it's cancelled!
BTW, where is this Sears so I can hook up with you all if not cancelled?

The Sears parking lot is on the southbound side of US Route 1 in New Brunswick, NJ. If you are coming off the NJ Turnpike or Garden State Pkwy, you are going to be able to get to Rt 1 south. The entrance to the Sears parking lot is in the right, immediately after you go under the overpass for NJ Route 18. As you approach the area, you will see a huge Loew's 17 movie complex, then Dave's BBQ restaurant, then the exit ramp for Rt. 18. Stay in the center lane as you pass the movie complex, and you will be in the correct lane to go under Rt. 18 staying on Rt 1, and move RAPIDLY to the right to exit into the Sears lot.
You will see a Sears auto shop, then the main Sears store, with an "On The Border" restaurant in the parking lot, and a Houlihan's restaurant at the end of the lot. If you miss the turns into the Sears parking lot, continue on Rt 1, south, and take the NEXT right exit, which is Ryders lane north to New Brusnwick. When you get on Ryders Lane, go to the first traffic light (about 1/4" mile) and turn right at the traffic light (I think its called Labor Center Drive). That will put you directly into the parking lot at the rear of the Sears store. Drive around to the front of the store.... you can't miss 50+ F-Bodys.
For anyone coming north on US Rt. 1, from PA, Trenton area, etc.
Go past DeVry University, and go under the bridge for Rt 18. As you go under the bridge, pull right into the exit lane for "Rt 18 North/New Brusnwick". When you get up on the Rt 18 overpass, stay in the right most lane, and immediately take the "US 1 South/Trenton" ramp, back down onto Rt 1 south. You will be go back under the Rt 18 bridge and follow the above instructions.

Yes, for those of us traveling a bit to this event... how do we know it is cancelled before we start our journey? Is there a number that we can call? And when will the cancellation be known? "ButchN" would probably need to know before 2:00am of Sunday morning... myself before 5:00am. Thanks.

I might show with my brother just to walk around and look at the cars as long as it isnt raining.
Q: does anyone know which exit # it is off Rt 287S? I forget, I think it's 1a or 1B?
