Projectz28 and Kazman thanks...

Brian, the Chevy Z28 rims with new drag radials really worked great for me today. Jim, your guidance over the years helpd greatly also. Was at the Pontiac Show N Go at E-town today. I won five elims, was given one bye in the mix and ended up being the winner of the P3 "13.00 - 13.99" class with 13.8 and 13.85 dial-ins. Towards the end, when the compettition was getting tight, the r/t's were .080, .065, .068. 60's were 2.0 somethings. The best one was with the .065 r/t and then ran a 13.855 on a 13.85 dial-in.
WOW F'n WOW!!!

Someone was joking that I should have been disqualified because I had chevy rims on the rear, that it was an unfair advantage

I was asked about my "sponsership". Was momentarily taken aback on that one but replied that "Well I have a few SLP parts and I get a lot of advice from CamaroZ28.com" Bahahahhaha. So I guess that will be in the E-town publication about the event.

Nice tall trophy.
But looks like I"ll have retire the two "Show winner" trophies in order to make room for this one. Ohhhh, like that will be hard to do.

Here's all my times for the races;
www.97transam.com/97ta-timeslips.php
The new ones are at the bottom of the page.

I just took off the rims and put the stock ones back on. I'll be doing Cops n Rodders later this month so I won't be running at the track anymore until afterwards. So, sure, you can borrow them. I found they work better when they are all spit n polished.

Man... a -.003.. sooooooo f'n' close. I didn't get on edge on the light until I had the Bye. That help me a lot in the last two runs. Curious, thought, how did I end up with a bye? R/ts? I don't think mine was the best in the previous round. But I was most grateful in getting it.

Ron, Best RT of the previous round, except if the the person already had a bye run. Then the next best who didn't have a bye run gets it. Other exeption is that if the previous bye run person actually had to race another car and won, they would get the bye again.

hey Ron, why cant I view any pics on your site. They just come up as empty squares with an "x" in them. I disabled my firewall and even right clicked and hit "show pictures" and nothing...

I really want to see!!!

Bri... I checked the code. Is it working for you now? You got to see it 'cause it has the unfair rear wheel mod. It's working for IE6.0

Ed, sigh, yeah I had to spend Sunday undoing the track "damage". Not that I really minded though. After all, I had some new hardware on the "happiness shelf". And the engine compartment stayed clean which is the tedious part to keep clean.

Re: Projectz28 and Kazman thanks...

i tried again this morning and I still cant see anything. It must have something to do with my firewall or something. But I turned it off and I still see nothing..????

I just remembered why I would rather stick to cars over computers.....

Re: Projectz28 and Kazman thanks...

Ooooooooo yeah!!!

It was cool to get win the first one, the second win wasn't too much for me either. But I tell ya, Jackie, when I snag a Bye for the fouth run, I had a realization that if I kept my wits about me, for a change, I might be able to pull it out. And after the winning the next two... I can't tell you how many times I said "F'n A Alright!!!"

I had been in a semi-finals before, but I red lighted. It has taken two years to get back to that point. So yeah, it's pretty sweet.

Of course Brian will say it was in the rims...

Winning is an awesome feeling. It's what gets you hooked. This sport is full of highs and lows, so hang on. Hero to Zero! Thats me.

Still waiting on pieces parts so I haven't actually lost even one round this season!
