NYIRP Friday

NYIRP Friday
I will be there. My buddy Joe is running his Mustang. My car, you wonder? Converter is supposed to be back today, but there isn't time to install it for a few days. Can't do it myself, having a bad back is a royal pain, so I have to wait . Next week (Saturday) is my current goal for getting out.
Anyway, if any of you will be at NYIRP on Friday, look me up and say "hi". We will be in the paved "Pro" pit area. Look for my green Silverado and Joe's green Mustang.

Finally got to meet (in person) Bret and Jon; Jon and I did some very enjoyable bench racing. Nice! Jon educated me a bit about torque converters. My buddy Joe had a few problems, but still ran a 9.58.
So all in all, a good night even without a car of my own to drive. Maybe in two weeks? I'm hoping.

I'm looking into timing belt failure modes and brushing up on TCs.
Oh, I just checked: the local record for a lap-chole is 22 minutes and change skin-to-skin. The patient is doing well.

Great meeting you, Rich. When you get your car running, how about we bracket race? Let's see, I'll get about 4 or 5 seconds head start, so all you'll see for a while will be my four (not six) taillights.

Re the lap chole, he would be a demon on the tree. Probably red-light every time
