Its suppose to clear up wednesday up until the weekend. Ive been practicing my launches & have a set of sticky street tires(if their is such a thing) I was just wondering if any f-body guys would be intrested in going. I dont want it to be like Thompson where i was the only camaro vs like 5 03 cobras and various ricers. Not fun.

SS did you race on wednesday or saturday at thompson? I used to race there on saturdays when my car was together. Much better crowd of people to spend time with, definitely better track prep. Usually 10-15 other f body cars would show up.

 

Im pretty sure it was a saturday. I know it was the first day anyone ran on it in months. The track prep was terrible. I got their around 11 and i was the only camaro. By the time i left(around 4) 2 more camaros came up. I talked to the one guy who had a LS1 with a blower on it who was pretty cool. The only good thing i can say about the day is i got a nice tan.

DarkHorse, what time does T&T start at 42?

 

I believe gates open at 5:30

I'll be there for sure probably with a few other people too. My points start tomorrow so I can't miss.

 

The website says test and tune is today. Would i even be able to race?

 

Hey! I am going up wednesday after work to 42. I get off at 5:30. Its points night but you dont have to run points. I am going to get in points next week, this week i am just paying 10 bucks to make a few runs. You can still race on points night from what i understand but just not for points unless you pay 25 for the season. Im just poor this week with my throttle body cable breaking and all that was my points money test and tune nights is 10 bucks too and you can run as much as ya want and stuff. BTW... Saturday everyone i work with from Summit i talked into going up to 42 with me for midnight madness... So everyone with a camaro come on out if your not up at norwalk... or go there then come to 42, hehe.

ehh 5a.m. came way too early... sweet!! Look for a loud grey camaro with black windows rollin at about 6:30ish! Darkhorse will be there too. Cant miss his car, its loud

I am looking to do some 42 tomorrow night, just wondered if anyone else was going to be over there. If your doing points I am guessing you have to be there every time.

It'll be my first time racing *cough* I mean racing at the track since the car was stock

I cant race again until i get something else done to my car. Its impossible to cut anything better then a 2.3 60'. If the tires dont spin through 1st it just boggs hard until about 2500k RPM. DarkHorse - Let me know about that rear if your buddy is intrested in selling it. Im thinking i need some 1.6 RR's, better gears, Street twin clutch, and some DR's before i can do any damage at the track. That snow mobile would of killed me. Anyways, my buddy got your car on video for your first run, and ur buddy with the caprice. Cant belive he ran a 13.5 with that thing. So let me know about the rear, and maybe i will see you guys at the track again some day.

 

Man I told you that you needed that other rear end when I helped with that tune With those mods I think you'll be running great times.

Hey man! I actually seen you Wednesday night! You left before I said hi! lol, same problem as me I am running 13.00's and should be mid-low 12's. The cobra up there is runnin 12'.4-12'.6 and he is clocking 109mph. My MPH are like 112's. My 60's are like 2.2-2.3. I just need relocation brackets and some mickey thompson ET streets then i should be beating him. But that cant stop you from coming out with us

 

I think my best run was a 13.8@104 with a 2.3 60'. At thompson i was running 14's trapping 105. At 42 i could only get 104 and i wasint spinning as much as Thompson. I had some pretty sticky(or i thought so)street tires with about 17 PSI that wouldint hook for my life. Even launching at 2k RPM.

Speed2Much - Yeah i would of stayed but after my last run with like a 2.4 60' i was ready to shoot myself. The highlight of the nite was when i was driving home on thoes country roads and actually got air right next to a car driving in the opposit lane. I landed a little sideways and about shat myself. my buddy was like "DUDE, YOU JUST GOT AIR, I WASINT EVEN IN MY SEAT!!!" Hah, both our heads actually hit the head liner, awesome ride though.

Anyways, im sure i will come out with ya guys whenever you go next. My 10 bolt is ready to blow with over 140k on the clock. I guess it will be a good excuse to take out another little loan and get that 12 bolt with the street twin. Damn, sorry for the rant. I guess thats what 2 hours of sleep will do to ya.
