Motor is in!

Well, in case any of you local F-body guys care.....

The motor is in! The Procharger F1 has maybe 1/16" clearance between the compressor housing and the drivers side frame rail. But it fits! The TH400 with CSI shield fits in the tranny tunnel with room to spare, no BFH (Big F***ing Hammer) work required. It's going to be a chore to get the air into the SC though. That, and fabbing up the fuel system are the main obstacles left. Along with figuring out where to mount the tranny cooler.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just thought that enquiring minds might want to know.

Rich,
That's great news!!!!! Looks like the fun has just started though. Did you get the cage finished? Just curious as to how it looks, cause I know we were talking about that awhile back.

Anyway, glad to hear it's looking like a car again....one quick car that is!

I think I am going to have to buy a bike to try and keep up with you guys.

Sounds like a beast Rich. Have to let us know when the big track day arrives so I can go see this thing in action.

Dave: the cage is a long tale, but it won't go in until fall. G-force just got too backed up. I think at NYI they won't care as long as I keep it in the 10's though.

Good to hear Rich, that car is going to be violent I look forward to seeing you and the car soon!

Did you get the PCM? When you get a chance, can you pull that program out of the PCM and sent it to me?

Thanks Rich!

Jason: got it, thanks! There is not electric power to the car yet, but I put a sticky note on the PCM reminding me to pull the program when I power it up.

I have this fantasy about a 3,500rpm launch against the brake with the N2O coming on at ~4,000rpm just as I clear the starting area . Hopefully, the 27" QTP's will allow this to occur without a lot of tire smoke.

I agree it sounds like one hell of a beast. I cant wait to see this rolling monster at our track day when you get it done. A true form of modern muscle.

Congratulations,

At least you don't have to pull the motor! Did you schedule dyno time yet? I am very curious how it's gonna do. Use a lot of orange RTV and let it sit at least 24h before startup.

I can hardly wait, it must be killing you too.

Sounds good Rich, since you are going to the 27s, do you still want to sell me your ET Streets?

Thanks, Jason

Yes, but I want to wait until the wheels are delivered and I am sure it's going to work out. IOW, I will keep the salad shooters/ET Streets in "reserve" until then.
