LT1 shop in the area for a Cam Install

I have decided I would like to install a cam in my 97. I have had a custom cam specd out by two of the best in the lt1 community and supporting valvetrain components selected. Already spoke with the tuners who sent me a mail order tune a couple of years ago. They said it would be no problem to tune for the cam with a mail order tune. I would really like a dyno tune. I have called numerous shops in the tri-state area and all but 2 have said they do not work on LT1's. Their reasoning is "too much of a pain to work on" The other 2 shops just never got back to me. (Don't know if I can list the shops that are not sponsors)

I could install it myself, but the problem is finding the time between work, family house etc. Any suggestions on shops that are familiar with LT1's that are reliable and fair. Also possibly dyno tune for WOT and part throttle.

Thanks,
Derek

It's a shame you don't live in the south. My shop would happily do it for you.

Joe,

What shop is that? I don't mind driving to a good shop that knows LT1s.
I will send you a pm.
