ive thought about joining, we'll see this summer. im driving the camaro pretty much every day now. it feels good to drive it and not have my knee killing me like it was last september. kristen says she's ordering a mustang next month. she keeps saying she'll smoke me but i know she's just messing around. she knows the camaros potential with traction!!

Did you see the new MACH 1 yet? Iread on LS1TECH about a couple that run pretty well! There is one with a H-pipe, air box assembly, pulley and it ran 12.8 @ 108 with a 2.1 60ft! Another one bone stock down to the factory air pressure in the tires ran a 13.1 @ 105mph with a 2.2 60ft. There are preety impressive for what they are and they have 3.55 gears factory. The MACH ! is also lighter then the COBRA from what I have heard!
I have seen a couple new 03-04 COBRAS driving in Mentor this spring and I have also seen a few new F-bodies too! Gary, have you ever replaced an ignition cylinder on a new car 98-up? I am pretty sure that is whats wrong with the SS. Since Bertone(the a$$hole) left your service dept...has it been any better? Do you think the new service manager would let me borrow a repair manual for my 99 SS so I could replace the ignition cylinder?

brian, it sucks without bertone there. he was a good service manager and a cool guy. hes working at a dealer in palm springs, california now. it wouldnt be a problem at all for you to borrow a service manual, as long as you bring it back. ive never replaced an ignition cylinder in a f car so i really can't tell you how to do it. let me know if you want the manual or just come into the shop and ill get it for you.

Thanks Gary...my friend is coming over with his laptop and we'll check for codes and see if it's the VATS for sure, but I think it is. I'll come over and see you if I need the manual.
