Thumbs up Yeah

I go there a lot. You get a lot of runs in. Its like a poor, redneck track and theres a long dirt road to the track. I live closer to Englishtown, but you only get a few runs in. At Island Dragway (I usually go Sunday mornings) I get 10-15 runs. Its a great track. And if you have a trailer, for like 25 bucks a season, you can leave your car and trailer there the entire time. Thats what a buddy of mine does. He leaves his 9 second '67 Camaro down there and when he goes down, drives his 12 second '72 Chevelle.

It is a quarter mile track right not 1/8 and also how well is the surface prepared when are the days that you can go. Like the test and tune nights.

I've been there a few times. I was actually surprised how good the track was hooking after seeing it. It's basically a strip of asphalt in the middle of a farm. lol. It's a great track though, and hooked pretty well when I was there during TnT.

Oh and it is a full 1/4.

If you have a fast car, say high 11's or faster you won't like it. The track is bumpy and the shutdown is short. It's not exactly prepped well, if at all. If you have a slower car and just want to make a lot of runs, it's great. I tried to run my 9 second nova there and it didn't work out too well. I like running my 15 second camaro there a lot actually. Last time I made 11 passes back to back without getting out of the car.

Well George Baxter ran a 9.0X or 9.1x there, so it can be done. I also saw rocket powered cars running there one night turning like low 7's. It is a kind of short shutdown area though.

Like it says on their website, "We ain't too short, you just gotta have big *****!"

George LOVES Island.... that's where I shot the video of his 9.04@155mph pass. He never had a problem there with traction, bumps or the shutdown.... but it is a short shutdown area. But at those speeds you need a 'chute anyway.... .

I remember a post from last year where someone was complaining that on a Friday night, they would put cones on the staging area so that the street tire cars were forced to line up off to the side from the sticky tire car tracks..... never saw them do that, but appartenly it happens at times.

I like the fact that there are usually VERY few ricers there......
