FLFB Buffalo dinner

Hey everyone, Gary and I (along with Matt and Phil) have decided to have a November get together in Buffalo. The first in a long line of winter benchracing hangouts

Phil and Matt are looking into finding an indoor go-cart track too, so that may happen too. Dinner definatly though just to catch up with everyone at a place like Outback, Applebees, Chili's, etc...

The semi-definate date is Saturday November 23rd....meeting (at a not yet decided venue) around 4-5pm.

Let me know what works for you guys and who all can make it...I hope all the Buffalo guys will be there!

Rich, that stinks What day would you be available?

As Gary mentioned, him and I will probably ride out together from Rochester. Dave (droopy) and Joe (guys from Syracuse) are welcomed to meet us in Rochester and ride out with us...that will limit your driving time so you are not driving all the way out there.

I called two places about go carts in Buffalo and ones closed so it looks like were down to one. Im still awaiting a call back though...

The first place seemed like the best option for a couple reasons.
1. Its indoor
2. AFAIK they are fairly fast gasoline motored carts
3. Its right around the galleria mall area
4. They are open from 4-11 on friday and 12-11 on saturday....

Thats all they have on the message. I faintly remember dropping by there a couple years ago and they looked to be moving pretty quick! And from memory they werent regular go carts but more like sprint cars!

The message did say one night had a discounted price of 20.00 so Im guessing its in the 25-40 range to ride?

They mentioned leagues but I think thats only tues nights.

Ill post back as soon as they call me back.

Matt, thanks for checking that out man!! Sounds like exactly what we are looking for....glad to hear they are fast too! You are the pimp. Pulling the motor is real easy man....i might be able to rig it so that I can come up early that day and we can pull it out before the meeting.

Right now the meeting is still looking like the 23rd (sat), but possibly friday the 22nd.....I am just bummed that if we do it on saturday that Rich wouldnt be able to make it

I hope they are fast too, and yes I do my fair share of pimping in the Buffalo area

I will try to get some of the car done by then Jason but I most likely will not be able to. I was kind of thinking more towards break between semesters.

Im going to get rid of the fuel rails, accessories, TB, etc and maybe the intake hopefully before anyone gives me a hand. I just have any free time now with school and such, plus I still have to decide if I have or can save enough money for maybe a .30 over or some forged pistons for a little N20 etc. Lots of decisions and purchases I have to make before I really get going.....The major thing holding me back right now is money.

Oh and I was contemplating a T56 conversion until I saw the price tag for the complete conversion set. $2,900 for everything!

On the 22nd. I have to work, but if you guys decide on that, then I will meet up if you guys are still around when I get out (around 9:30/10pm). I too would like Rich to go, so I can take advantage of his vast knowledge...especially about cams. I've got just a few last things before I "officially" decide on what cam to go with.

Matt,
$2900 for the T-56 conversion...yikes. Whatever site you saw that on, do not go back to it! You can easily find one with all the parts (pedals, crossmember, slave cly., etc) for around $1300-$1700 tops. But don't forget, you will then have an A4 you can sell for around $600 to $700 bucks (maybe more cause of the TC, and shift kit). Lemme know if you want some more info, I'm actually about to change over a '94 Firehawk from an A4 to an M6 in about a week or two.

I saw that kit at www.speedautomotive.com could you send me more info about that Dave? How good is the clutch the kit comes with?
