Cool Exciting News!

On Saturday I will officially be 5 months pregnant. I'm due October 1st.

Rick and I are very excited although I'm slightly bummed I have to sit out another racing season - especially after just getting my own car back! This is definitely something worth missing a season over though.

We're already looking at junior dragsters... j/k

Re: Exciting News!

It's a BOY!!!!!!

We're super excited.

The goal is to not change much of our racing life. We bought the motor home so we can take the baby with us to the track. I may end up racing a little less but we will still be at the track a lot. That's really part of the reason we waited so long. We wanted to collect everything first so that not much changes. We'll see though.

Boys are fun any names picked out yet?

You guys have a family thing going at the track so it probably wont change much... me? I'm the only one so racing took a back seat for the time being. But some day that will change.

Congrats again, so happy for you guys!!!!

How about Little Ricky, Race, Chase, or Chevy? Then there's always Sandbagging Cheater. lol Congrats again. Our best to you, Rick, and your coming son.

Re: Exciting News!

I can't argue that John is a pretty "winning" name in the world of drag racing!

Rick is already a Jr so it would be the third if we went that route. That would stop people from calling the Rick you all know "Little Ricky" - which he hates.

Our plan is to go with a traditional, classic name. We're not into all the trendy stuff that's out there and we're definitely not into naming our kid after a car, race or any other symbol of what we do in our spare time.

Thanks again though for the well wishes. We are super excited!!

Re: Exciting News!

Liz and I got one of those name books and just started going thru. She picked out 20 names, I picked out 10, and we narrowed it down from there....

however I won't say that Vin Diesels sister in the Fast and Furious didn't have anything to do with it

If my good friend didn't name his son Cole already, I would have a Cole after Cole Trickel

I actually liked Chase Hartley... heck it works for Chase Utley! Liz didn't like it and I couldn't convince her no matter what I said or did
