If you drive less then 5,000 miles in one year the car is exempt. They do a visual to verify the cat and AIR are still installed, then they put an exempt sticker on for the emmis.

Inpection must be at least 365 days, anything less and they must use the sniffer.

Cats aren't an issue...

I plan on buying Cats with the air hookup on them and plumb the air pump to it since the Jethot LT I bought don't have the hookup.

The egr setup is going to be a pain in the a$$ but I think I have an idea. I just need to find a shop that doesn't look really hard.

I drove my car about 7000 miles last year but staying under 5000 really wouldn't be much of an issue.

Do you know if it'll trick anything if you have your computer programed to ignore EGR not being there anymore... this is my current dilema.

They still do the visual inspection so if you have everything there then you should be fine for that part.

My understanding is that as long as you aren't throwing any codes you will be fine when the hook you up to the Emissions computer.

use ls1 edit to remove the codes when you remove the air or egr. you could leave the egr in place just dommy it up so it looks like it goes in the intake.

What would be the point in that?

The only reason to get rid of the stuff is to get out of the way. There is no performance gains.

small gain if you go to an offroad y-pipe or gutted cats for visual. i have gutted cats, electric cutout, and the sims for the cats. nice little gain and very loud when i open the cutout.
