Back in the fbody game
Back in the fbody game
Took some time off from the fbody scene had a kid you khow the story.Just got a 68 camaro this is my first 1st gen and kind of excited to start working on it.I aways wanted a first gen kind of my dream car outside of a shelby cobra
No pics yet the car will be coming apart this weekend for a semi fram off resto I just scored a 406 sbc for it.I would like to at least have it together and in primer atleast for next spring O.C. cruise weekend.Cant wait I'm like a kid at christmas, and it will be yellow with the dual black z28 stripes
I can appreciate staying w/ a carb. It is certainly much simpler and does keep the engine bay more wide open.
I have a T56 w/ ~40k on it. I had it rebuilt before I put it in my '95TA. It was rebuilt w/ carbon fiber blocker rings and a steel 3-4 shift fork. Since the rebuild it has ~750 miles.
What I have is: T56, flywheel, clutch, new pressure plate and throwout bearing, shifter, hydraulics, poly trans mount, bell housing and cross member. I'm asking $1,500+shipping for all of this. You and I are close enough that shipping would not be necessary.
I'm not using this because I've stepped up my power level and bought my friend's D&D T56.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Steve.
