Z28 Lt1 TPI

i recently purchased a 1987 z28 camaro. Lt1 tpi engine. i have a problem. yesterday i took the car to a car wash. i sprayed the engine with degreaser then with the pressure washer i removed the degreaser. after that the car started fine but when i accelerate it gets to a certain rpms and suddently the engine just gives out like if i was chocking the engine. I tryied everything i could to clean out any water in the distributor cap. still no luck any ideas.

It can't be an LT1 and a TPI engine. They are two different motors. The TPI would be correct for your car.

I'd guess you got something wet. Just start checking stuff. Not much help.

Do you have an 87 Z28 with an LT1 in it (if so, not TPI).. or an 87 Z28 with a TPI 350 (L98)...

huh!!!!!!

well it says Tuned Port Injection so i guess is not an LT1. i tryed to clean every electronic on view but i think i'm missing something. my friend told me that i have a combustion problem. The injectors are a little loose meaning that you can swing them side to side. I'm thinking this could be a problem.

no they can rotate...put a fan on high on top of the motor for an hour or 2 and let it blow on everything, might help dry things out...cant really think of much else without more info...
