Hey guys, so i will be buying a 93+ 6 speed Camaro hopefully soon and i want to know "daily driver" wise what some basic mods can do.

When i get the car (hoping for a 96/97) i'm ofcoarse gonna get everything in tip top shape. Fluids/brakes/full tune up etc, then i'll empty my pockets alittle more for some basic mods to improve abit. I'll be honest i want to keep the car for a long time, so i wouldn't go nuts on heavy modding especially when it will be my daily driver.

What kind of difference would i see from the basics, CAI/Cat back exhaust, better ignition..and possibly gears.?? What are the gear ratio's stock..? I've read 3.42..?? If so would changing the gears be a wise decision for an engine that has Good torque down low, or will it be tire-smoke city lol. I believe mid 90's do a 5.7 0-60 and a 14.4 1/4....did anyone here break those times with a Stock LT1 6 speed..??

PS i was a Ford guy till i drove the Camaro-no joke. I know abit about the 4.6 and 5.0 engines and mustangs pretty much and how to make them fast, i'm a virgin to Camaro's and what they respond good too-mods wise. Is there any FREE mods, or basic stuff to wake the engine up even more..?? If there is a link to a "new to camaro's what to mod/learn here section" area let me know, thanks.
