You guys running Joe O setups.....

Are you running open loop tunes or not??? My car runs and drives pretty good on a baseline tune with the fuel trims locked out, but as soon as you unlock them things go all to hell and the car won't run for crap. I'm talking N-A-S-T-Y fuel trim splits everywhere, throttle or no.

Just wondering how you were running.

I have tunercat or do you simply mean locking out closed loop? Meaning change the parameters for it to never enter closed loop.

Sean,

You have my most recent tune, and it does run in closed loop pretty well. Idle is a joke, as it pegs to 160 on both, but as soon as it gets some RPM that cleans up nice. I have a more recent log that I am going to send you now so you can look at cruise info.

That's one thing I'm thinking of as the pistons and combustion chambers were just COATED with carbon. Black as the night. I think a lot of the smoking at idle may be from it burning off too. I'm pulling a couple of plugs tonight for a look-see.

The tunercat thing is from some of the more recent definition files. Under the ECM Constants table, there's a BLM and Intergrator max and min slides. Just set them to 128 and you've got a closed loop locked fuel trim tune.
