I found a good deal on a cam and since I know nothing about cams your knowledge would be helpful. The cam specs are 227/233 .525/.534 lift with 1.5 rocker rollers on 111 lobe setup. The lifters are comp R with. How does this sound compared to a cc306, will it make as much power or sound as good? I am running stock heads for a while. Can I use 1'6 rocker rollers, will it help any? And the lobe seperation is that as good as the 112? Any help wil be appreciated and if anyone knows where I can get a good deal on some springs, rockers and timing chain let me know. Thanks alot guys

 

This cam should be a decent pic for stock heads, and will still get a nice boost if you decide to have them ported later. It isnt as big as the CC306 and wont make as much power, but will be alot more friendly to drive on stock heads.

111LSA would give it a choppy idle but not bad, as well as moving the power band up somewhat from 112. I imagine you would want to rev it to around 6200-6400 RPMs. 1.6RRs will help give you some more lift which means more power.

I have my old 224/230 Cam for sale in the sales forum, it would be alittle more mild but now a whole lot of difference from this one.

With long tubes and the car running correctly, i would say around 340 RWHP.

What kind of rockers does it come with?

 

None I have to buy them seperate.

Anyways..that cam sounds like a good one to me It'd have a nice chop to it and make plenty of power. I think 350rwhp is possible.
