When I got the cam it has some yellow tape like stuff on it between the last lobe and oil pump drive gear, do I need to remove it or leave it on? Also I need to drive the dowel pin in more a hammer isnt working, it's starting to mess it up.

It's not that bad, thats what I waas told to use, so what do I use to tap it in then mister.

 

I heard the best way is to headbutt it in.

 

headbutt? I was advised to grab a cat by the tail and just wail on it!

 

I thought you where suppose to cut the access off with a torch

 

screw the torch, just use a couple of M80's

 

You guys are silly, seriously, what do I need to do.

 

I heard people just dropped the cam on the ground and that forces the pin all the way in.

 

I was able to get mine in with a hammer only halfways and then it started messing up the pin. I took a dremel and cut the rest off.

What about this yellow tape stuff, keep it on or is it not a big deal.

 

Is it actually a tape or is it more of a paint? Mine had a colored stripe of paint on it. If its tape for sure get it off of there.
