Talking YEAH! Just got my motor mounts!

I have no idea why, but I'm excited to install these things. More so than the cam I put in... Maybe it's because I'm tired of seeing the motor bouncing around I dunno.

Well I heard installing these urethane mounts were fun... can't be worse that installing the upper and lower A-arm bushings with the torch and all... now that was a good week.

Mine have been sitting in the box in the garage for almost two years now. I'm not looking forward to installing them, I'll probably just wait till the motor has to come out.

I've been eyeing one of those, but for the pricetag, there are other mods I would rather focus on. If I can find one used for a decent price, then I will definitely reconsider.

I cant remember them being too hard compaired to installing headers. Make sure you have a friend and use a long pry bar when puting the mounts in to move the engine around. The hardest part is just lining up the bolts.

Yeah, just like installing headers, you have to be a little creative.

I like all the benefits of poly mounts, with the exception of the added vibration. I almost wish I had used new oems instead of the polys. (I did say, almost )

Yeah they make the car vibrate pretty bad, but I'll take that over some sloppy stockers anyday.

You might as well upgrade your tranny mount too while you are there, but thats up to you.

Installing mine was a pain in the ***, and I had the motor and K-member out of the car. Getting the motor to line up with the bolt holes was just stupid, I'm just glad the motor was out of the car so I could actually have some room to work.

Good luck

They did wonders for me. No vibrations and my y-pipe stopped slamming into my car. Not too bad to install if you just take your time.

Same here, new rebuild and used poly motor and transmission mounts. Actually smoother than it has been for the past few years and can feel no added vibration.

The poly mounts were a SOB to install when the K-member w/engine were out of the car and being assisted by a cherry picker. I can not imagine trying to install them with the engine in the car. The hardest part is aligning everything close enough to get bolts in, the poly is so much stiffer than the rubber and it does not give.

I did not like the vibrations from the poly mounts so I went back to rubber when the engine came out the second time. They are definitely the way to go if your racing or making crazy power.

With a near stock cam, you should not notice any added vibrations. I have a cam similar to your and having both sides poly was a little much for a daily driver so I switched the passenger side out ( It hink is was the ps side..) for a OEM one and all is good now...not much added vibration and no motor roll either.
