Question Y-pipe install questions

Does the hooker y-pipe bolt right up to the catalytic (single cat) or do I need to do some cutting and have a muffler shop finish the rest?

Single cat cars have the cat welded to the stock y pipe. Youll have to take it to an exhaust shop, get it cut and have flanges welded onto the cat and y pipe.

I don't have to pass emissions so will i still need to have flanges welded onto the rest of the exhaust?
Will removing my gutted cat change the exhaust tone any?

Do you know what a flange is? What are you trying to do?
