XE or CC306 for an LT4?

I've done a ton of searches on here allready guys, and have been lurking/reading for even longer. I've been able to throw out the Hotcam from what I've read here. Some guys here are getting some serious numbers and track times with stock unported heads. I'm wondering if my (stock)LT4 heads would/should have much of an impact on cam decision. The runners are a little larger(195ish) and they flow a little more(235 to 240 depending on where you read it.) than a stock LT1 casting. I've still got alot of time before I do anything (that means I still have to save up my money) but would like to narrow my cam selection down to 1 or 2 cams. Lets hear it guys.

Holy crap Jason, that thing is a beast if it's allmost 400NA RWHP. Things is, my heads dont flow anywhere near 280 but I'd settle for 375rwhp.
What I'm really worried about is trying to compare LT1s to LT4s because I'm not sure its a fair comparison. The LT1 has the smaller intake runners and the LT4 has the 190cc. I know this is what helps my airflow but also hurts low end and throttle response.

Most guys with the LT4 that I know are running the HC and with headers and odds and ends are getting anywhere from 325-340rwhp without a tune to 360rwhp or so with a good tune. The average seems to be about 350rwhp though. There are countless guys here running bigger cams on stock or lightly ported LT1 heads getting equal, or better than that.

224/230, or 224/236 or 230/236 just go with a XE grind.

Another vote for the EX 230/236. Make sure you save $ for a good tune.
