"X" pipe...nessasary or not.

is a X pipe that important, or can i just run two pipes straight to the axle and dump it.

is there any benifit from it.

Some say it sounds better with one on. I meshes the sounds of 2 cylinders (dont' remember which). X pipes are sort of a mustang thing tho.
